Lab Automation

Innovative Medicat solutions — each powerful on its own, and delivering even more value when leveraged together. Save time and money, improve patient safety, help reclaim valuable staff resources, and streamline workflow.

Medicat Lab Order

The Problem:
Ordering lab tests is a manual multi-step, time-consuming process and not conducive to high-volume testing.

Our Solution:

Reduction in provider and administrative time with web-based integration of demographics, ordering, and printing for lab testing.

Medicat Lab Connect

The Problem:
Manual re-keying of local machine results; fraught with potential for errors; not conducive to high-volume testing.

Our Solution:

Digital. Removes manual entry. Eliminates risk of human error. Lab interface connects in-house devices directly to Medicat.

Medicat Lab Notify

The Problem:
Reviewing and notification of lab results is a time-consuming provider task; slows down critical step in lab process; not conducive to high-volume testing.

Our Solution:

Reduction in provider and admin time. Streamlines review of lab results. Notification process automation. Speeds up critical process step. High-volume testing conducive.

Medicat Lab Results

The Problem:
Accessing results can be cumbersome. Patient cannot easily access official lab test record. Time-consuming manual task for clinic admin.

Our Solution:

Self-service for the patient. Frees up clinical admin time. Improves patient experience. Delivers official lab results in PDF format directly to the Patient Portal.

Gain speed. Improve accuracy. Ensure safety & privacy.

An increasing number of states are requiring ePrescribing. Feel prepared with our solution.

Medicat’s Rcopia ePrescribing solution allows your clinic to handle prescriptions and renewals with greater accuracy and safety. Gain confidence that your ePrescribing solution is up-to-date every day.

Writing paper prescriptions is a thing of the past. By switching to ePrescribing, you’ll eliminate the following risks and pitfalls:
  • Misuse of paper prescription pads
  • Contra-indications and conflicts with other medications
  • Inaccurate refill expiration dates
  • Liability for errors or misread handwriting

Insurance Waiver Management

Upgrade your SHIP enrollment and waiver process.

Insurance Waiver Management streamlines and centralizes the waiver process by automating insurance enrollment and verification.

Plus, collected data can be exported back to your student information system or other on-campus systems, as needed.

“Streamlining the insurance upload process has made a world of difference for our campus. I love how students can go to a single portal, upload their information, and track their compliance status in real time. We’ve gotten way fewer panicked calls from students and parents, which has greatly reduced my staff’s workload and stress levels.”

~ Jennifer Kieslich, Health Compliance Manager at the University of Florida

Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can we implement Medicat’s EHR solution?

Implementation can take as little as one month. Medicat provides implementation “bootcamps” to rapidly configure the solution to your needs and train your team. Timelines can vary depending on your organization’s unique requirements (e.g., historical record import, 3rd party system interfaces, etc.).

How much does the Medicat’s EHR solution cost?

Price depends on several factors including the number of people in your clinic and your workflow. Please contact our team to learn more.

Is Medicat’s EHR solution cloud-based?

Yes. Medicat’s Medical EHR solution is easily accessed via any web browser (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, etc.)

How does Medicat compare to other EHR vendors?

While there are many technical differences between Medicat and other EHR vendors, the single biggest differentiator is our support. Medicat’s reputation for quick response times, thorough customer training, and strong subject matter expertise are unparalleled in its industry.

For a more comprehensive comparison between Medicat and other EHR providers, please contact our team.

Does Medicat support Single Sign-On (SSO)?

Medicat supports the SAML protocol, which enables a number of SSO solutions such as Azure and Shibboleth.

Does Medicat support integrated clinics?

Medicat provides software tailored to the unique requirements of both health and counseling clinics AND enables integrated clinics to share patient information where appropriate.  The platform’s robust permission features ensure that every system user only has access to the data you want them to have access to.

Alternatively, if your college prefers to run the health and counseling clinics separately, all patient records can be kept separate.

How does Medicat ensure client data is secure?

Medicat’s systems and processes are designed to be consistent with HIPAA guidelines as well as the Service Organization Control Type 2 (SOC 2) framework, a cybersecurity compliance framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

In addition to managing system performance and security day to day, Medicat performs SOC 2 audits on an annual basis. Learn more about Medicat’s industry-leading security.
