Yes, Note Agent is an optional add-on component in the suite of tools that Medicat offers. Pricing is per user / per year and only users that will be using Note Agent need a license.

Minimal. Most providers can start using the tool quickly with short onboarding and optional training resources. Medicat provides support materials and guidance to ensure a quick and smooth adoption.

Is the provider still responsible for the note?

Yes. Always. The tool creates a draft, not a final record. Providers must review, edit, and approve the note before it’s saved to the chart.

Will this replace clinical judgment or decision-making?

No. This tool does not diagnose, recommend treatment, or make clinical decisions. It supports documentation. Clinical judgment remains entirely with the provider.

Do patients have to consent to being recorded?

Yes. Patients can opt in or decline the use of ambient listening during their visit. If a patient declines, the tool is simply not used for that encounter.

What AI tools power the Note Agent?

Note Agent uses multiple AI/LLM services. No customer data is stored or logged for longer than 21 days. Data is never used for model training.

What security documentation do you have available?

The Medicat HECVAT, specific to the Note Agent, is available upon request.

How is PHI processed and stored?

Note Agent is HIPAA-compliant. No PHI is persisted in the system. All API calls use ephemeral processing with immediate data disposal and all agreements include explicit provisions prohibiting model training on the data.
